Deciduous tree. Grows to 20-25 feet with an equal
spread. Small, yellowish-green to white flowers bloom
in late spring, followed by 1-1/2" long x 3/4" wide pearshaped,
reddish-brown fruit which ripens in Sept.-Oct.
Fruit is crisp and sweet with the taste of an apple
when eaten fresh. It is often glazed, dried or canned.
Requires a hot summer. Pollinated by Li. Low chilling
requirement.
